Through the weekend, we honored the people who keep our country running: teachers in our classrooms, healthcare workers caring for our families, construction crews building our future, firefighters on the frontlines, and so many more. It was an opportunity to celebrate how far we’ve come, and to face the work still ahead to protect fair wages, safe working conditions, and the dignity every family deserves.

As a union president and labor leader, I fought to protect pensions, healthcare, and safe working conditions for thousands of workers in our communities. From firefighters to public employees to essential workers in every industry, I know what it takes to deliver real results for working families.

That’s why I’m running for Congress: to make sure Washington works for all families, not just the wealthy few. But I can’t do this alone. I'm asking you to stand with me to continue the work in ensuring our voice is heard.
