What’s that smell,
friend? I
think it’s the distinct scent of new notebooks and freshly sharpened
pencils, which can only mean one thing: Our kids are back to school this
week! 

Yesterday was the first day of school for our Minnesota public school
students, including my daughter.

Every time school starts again, I feel hopeful.
