✊ Join us to stand up to Trump's power grab

Hi friend,
For weeks, D.C. communities have been under attack. Federal troops, out-of-state National Guard, and Trump-controlled police are targeting Black and Brown residents, immigrants, youth, and unhoused neighbors with harassment, surveillance, and arrests.
Simply put, people are being treated as enemies in their own homes, at jobs, and in the streets. It’s authoritarianism in plain sight, and we must fight back.
As a D.C. resident, I’ve been out and about in my own neighborhood participating in small acts of resistance where I can. And, as a climate advocate, I know we need a functioning democracy if we’re going to effectively tackle challenges like the climate crisis. That’s why Evergreen is proud to join allies across the movement for a national march this Saturday, September 6 ([link removed]) to deliver a message to the Trump regime:
This is our city. D.C. demands an end to militarization, the Trump regime’s takeover of the D.C. police, and the right to protect our communities in the future, permanently. Because we, the people, keep us safe.
The march starts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, beginning from Malcolm X Park (16th St NW & W St NW) and ending at the White House. Will you please join us? ([link removed])
YES, I'LL MARCH ([link removed])
Together, we will demand:
An immediate withdrawal of federal troops from the District
An end to the federalization of the local police department
The right to due process and to protect our communities in the future, permanently
After meeting at Malcolm X Park, we’ll march down 16th St to Freedom Plaza. We’ll rally there beginning at 1:00 p.m. and then continue to the White House.
We refuse to be occupied by federal troops and the Trump regime. RSVP for Saturday’s rally and stand up to this blatant power grab. ([link removed])
I hope to see you there,
