In an extraordinary move, the Trump administration is making it harder for people to speak out against their actions to dismantle key protections for people and the environment.

Recently, the General Services Administration (GSA) disabled a key website feature that allowed advocacy groups like Food & Water Watch to collect and submit public comments from members on new or amended rules. This move silences collective voices and obstructs our ability to oppose harmful policies.

It's censorship, plain and simple.

As the administration moves to suppress dissent, serve corporate interests, and strip away public power, Trump’s agencies are simultaneously rolling back major regulations on the environment, health, and safe water while making it much harder for the public to weigh in.

By abusing legal loopholes, Trump is dismantling protections behind closed doors and attempting to lock us out of the process.

The First Amendment of the Constitution specifically “protects the right of the people to petition the government.” So, we’re joining with our allies in a coordinated effort to do just that. Let’s take action together to restore our rights and the tools that let us speak up!
