Dear Neighbor, I hope you are doing well. Happy September! As we head into the cooler months of the year, I wanted to share some updates with you, including information about upcoming events in September and October, what my staff and I have been working on, and other helpful resources. Be sure to scroll down to the community events section to see what’s happening in the district and across Montgomery County! As always, I hope you find the information below useful. | Important Updates/Highlights | On Monday, I attended the Labor Day parade in Philadelphia with a few of my fellow elected officials, including State Representative Krueger, State Senator Haywood, and Philadelphia City Councilmember Ahmad. Together, we celebrated and walked alongside the hard-working laborers who truly form the backbone of our nation. With ongoing attacks on our workforce, defending job safety, the eight-hour workday, weekends and holidays, paid time off, and all fundamental workers’ rights has never been more important. We owe a debt of gratitude to organized labor for decades of work improving our workplaces and strengthening the employee experience. | Mitzvah Circle Foundation, a Montgomery County nonprofit that partners with hundreds of schools, charities, faith groups, agencies, organizations, and individuals to provide relief to families in crisis throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, recently suffered a fire. A significant number of donations slated for distribution throughout the region were damaged. Members of the PA House and PA Senate have offered to serve as donation drop-off points to help replenish the most immediate critical needs. Needed items: - Sneakers (all sizes, women’s, men’s, and children’s; new or gently used)
- Underwear (women’s, men’s, and boys’; new)
- Toiletries (new)
- Baby items (new)
Please contact my office with any questions, and feel free to drop off donations Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 35 Evansburg Road. | State Senator Cappelletti’s Kids’ Fair | My staff had the pleasure of attending State Senator Cappelletti’s annual Kids’ Fair at Elmwood Park Zoo last evening. They were able to provide resources to hundreds of attendees and network with fellow participants. There was time to visit the animals, cheer for the scheduled performers, and even see a rainbow at the conclusion of the event! Many thanks to State Senator Cappelletti and her staff for hosting this amazing event each year—we can’t wait for the next one! | September Mobile Office Hours | If you’re unable to make it to my district office for state-related assistance, my staff is available for mobile office hours on the first and second Wednesday of each month. Check out the September schedule below: 📅Wed., September 10 🏢W. Norriton Township Building 🕙10 a.m. - 12 p.m. | I toured ZeroEyes in Conshohocken last week with state Reps. Nelson, Daley, Guenst and Scott. ZeroEyes is a company that uses an artificial intelligence software in security cameras to detect and verify firearms while simultaneously alerting the appropriate authorities. We had the opportunity to see their operations center in action, with the software detecting an image and a highly trained analyst—such as former law enforcement personnel or veterans—verifying whether it was a threat or nonlethal. The technology recognizes potential threats, alerts first responders for situational awareness, and assists with faster response times. | House Fellowship Program Applications | The Pennsylvania House Fellowship Program is now accepting applications for the Spring 2026 semester (January–April).
