Instead of action on the cost-of-living, Farage spends his time plotting to pull Britain out of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Instead of trying to help fix the NHS and social care, Farage plans to move to a US-style insurance based system - lining the pockets of his billionaire friends.

And instead of working hard to help his constituents and the people of this country, Farage is more interested in cosying up to Donald Trump and talking Britain down.

As Ed Davey said in his speech at Spring Conference - we know where Farage’s populist playbook leads if we let him get away with it.

We know what happens when cynical, opportunistic politicians seize on the struggles and the anxieties of ordinary people for their own selfish ends.

It is ugly, it is powerful and it is incredibly destructive.

And John - we Liberal Democrats will not let it happen.

We are the only party brave enough to stand up to Reform and take on Nigel Farage’s divisive politics instead of pandering to him.

Our liberal values and community politics are the best antidote to Reform.
