It's Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes. I have to be honest with you – I am absolutely outraged right now.

Donald Trump just pulled 60 DEA agents out of Arizona to send them to Washington, D.C. These are the agents who should be on the front lines fighting the cartels that are flooding our state with fentanyl.

And Trump just made us less safe, so that he could have a photo op.

Let me be clear about what this means. Arizona is the fentanyl funnel for the entire country. More than 50% of all the fentanyl seized in the United States in the past three years was seized in Arizona. My office handles a large percentage of the major prosecutions against Mexican drug cartels in this state. We had around 350 DEA agents before this – already not enough. Now we have even fewer.

And where are our DEA agents? Chasing gardeners and landscapers around Home Depots in Georgetown. It's insanity.

I've demanded that Trump give us our DEA agents back right now. I don't care about his politics. I only care about protecting Arizona families from the fentanyl crisis that's killing our kids and destroying our communities.

What Trump is doing isn't governing. It’s endangering an entire state for political points.
