Labour MP Stephen Morgan and the party's social media claimed 35,000 people have been “deported” since the election. 

That’s not correct, according to the government’s own data.
The figure refers to all immigration returns in Labour’s first year, most of which were voluntary.

Former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak once made a similar mistake and corrected the record. We’ve approached Mr Morgan to seek a correction.

How to understand small boats numbers

Home secretary Yvette Cooper said small boat crossings in August were lower “than any previous August”. 

That’s not true of either the number of people, or the number of boats making crossings.

This is false.

No, migrants aren’t getting ‘free PS5s’ from Oxford Council

A viral video claims to show a migrant raging after a council scheme giving away PlayStation 5s ran out.

That scheme doesn’t exist. The video isn’t from the UK and dates back to 2018.
