John, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you.
My name is Mike Rounds, and I'm a proud, lifelong South Dakotan.
I was born in Huron, South Dakota, and graduated from South Dakota State University with a bachelor's degree in political science, which laid the foundation for my commitment to public service.
Before I entered public service, my business partner Karl and I built a successful insurance and real estate business with offices across South Dakota, giving me a deep appreciation for the hardworking people who build small businesses that drive our economy.
But, John, the driving forces in my life are simple: faith, family, and country.
As the eldest of 11 children, I've always been deeply rooted in family values. I held these values close when I worked as South Dakota's governor for two terms, and they still inspire me today.
My late wife Jean and I made our home in Fort Pierre, South Dakota, and are blessed to have our four children and 11 grandchildren living within five miles of our house. They are the reason I fight every day for the next generation.
John, I'm honored to serve South Dakota as a Conservative voice in the U.S. Senate and look forward to continuing to work on your behalf.
Just in the past few months, I've worked to confirm President Trump's cabinet nominees, pass the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act, and deliver the largest tax cut for the working class in American history. This is just the beginning of what we can accomplish with a strong Republican Senate Majority and President Trump in the White House.
Our fight isn't over, and we must work even harder to continue the progress we've made.
John, will you chip in $25, $50, or $100 today to help me build a brighter future for South Dakota and America?
Every dollar makes a difference in our fight to preserve our way of life.
Thank you for standing with me. Together, we can keep South Dakota strong.
Sincerely,
Senator Mike Rounds
