We are witnessing a significant backlash to feminist movements all over the world and it's hard to shake the feeling that the forces of regression have won, but together we have the power to fight back and make great gains. At Urgent Action Fund, despite the many challenges, we see feminist wins every day. From individual activists finding safety to communities coming together to defend rights, our 2024 annual report tells the stories of some of those wins.

Last year, we made more than 600 grants to fuel feminist activists and sustain their movements in 43 countries—more grants than we've ever made in a given year! Our grants made it possible for our partners to defend reproductive freedom, fight for climate, disability, racial, and gender justice, and sustain themselves during moments of crisis.

This couldn't have happened without your support and solidarity.

With rising authoritarianism around the world, more than ever, feminist activists need resources and support to lead critical, flexible, and on-the-ground responses to the threats our communities face.

We remain committed to supporting activists and movements from communities that have been excluded and marginalized. We will continue to provide funding that supports their safety and security and bolsters their efforts to protect democracy and human rights.
