President Trump is still throwing a tantrum and threatening to block the federal funding needed to rebuild the Key Bridge. And unbelievably, Maryland’s own Andy Harris is siding with him, suggesting that we pay the full $2 billion price tag ourselves.
Let’s be clear: that’s a $2 billion tax hike on Maryland families—all to score cheap political points.
But Congressman Johnny O isn’t backing down. He’s calling out Harris’ reckless betrayal and drawing a line in the sand: he will not support any budget that strips Maryland of the funding we’ve already been promised.
“This is a bright line I cannot imagine crossing under any circumstances,” he told The Baltimore Sun.
