Dear John,
Congress is pushing forward one of the most dangerous environmental bills in years. The FY26 Interior Appropriations Bill is a full-scale attack on clean air, clean water, climate programs, and wildlife protections. It cuts EPA funding by 23 percent, blocks enforcement of the Clean Air and Water Acts, and halts progress on fuel efficiency and climate science. It is reckless and must be stopped.
Republicans are using the appropriations process to push an anti-climate, anti-science, anti-wildlife agenda that reads like a fossil fuel industry wishlist. They’re targeting fuel efficiency standards. Halting climate science programs. And threatening species like grizzly bears and gray wolves with extinction, all while we face a full-blown climate emergency.
This bill is a declaration of war on the environment. It sacrifices public health and biodiversity at the altar of Big Oil and far-right ideology. We cannot allow Congress to greenlight a future with dirtier air, poisoned water, and destroyed ecosystems just to appease their donors.
The American people overwhelmingly support climate action and conservation, not pollution and extinction. It’s time for Congress to listen to the public.
This bill flies in the face of science, justice, and common sense. That’s why we must rise up and demand that every member of Congress vote NO.
This bill would cripple the EPA, strip the Endangered Species Act, and halt investments in climate solutions. It is a blueprint for pollution and extinction. And it gives Big Oil exactly what it wants while communities suffer.
Rolling back environmental protections will hit marginalized communities first and worst. These are the same families already living near refineries, toxic sites, and polluted waterways. This is environmental injustice written into legislation.
We need loud and urgent opposition to stop this from passing the House. Every member of Congress needs to hear from us before it’s too late. Our air, water, and planet depend on it.
This bill cannot become law. Tell your representative to vote no on the FY26 Interior Appropriations Bill.
Together we can protect our climate, our wildlife, and our future.
