I hope you had a restful holiday weekend, John.

I’m kicking off the new month with great news: My finance team crunched the numbers, and we hit our August online fundraising goal.

This is a testament to the power of this grassroots team. I’m proud to refuse money from Big Pharma and Big Oil – because I’m beholden to CA-45, not special interests.

Now, I’m heading back to Washington to fight against the MAGA agenda in Congress. House Republicans are leaving working families out to dry. Instead of making life more affordable, they’d rather give their billionaire donors a tax break.

I’m not backing down, and as one of the most at-risk incumbents in the House, it makes me even more of a target. I’m doing everything I can to defend our communities, but we can’t hold the line – or flip the House – without the resources to stay in this fight.
