What should House Democrats focus on right now?

As a member of Congress, I've had countless conversations with working people, seniors, and families who are being hurt by Donald Trump's disastrous policies.

Millions of people will lose access to Medicaid, inflation is skyrocketing, groceries are historically expensive, and good-paying jobs are vanishing overnight.

And what are Donald Trump and House Republicans doing about it?

They passed over a trillion in tax breaks for billionaires and corporations -- then took the rest of the summer off.

But 2024 taught us a hard truth: Democrats' case for change must be made on our own merits, not just on our opponents' flaws.

Even now, as Trump leads our democracy down a dangerous path, Democrats must put in the work and earn the privilege of serving the American people.

And that's why I'm reaching out today.
