On Friday, Governor Whitmer has announced that a special election will take place to fill the vacant seat in the 35th Senate District, which includes the communities of Saginaw, Midland, and Bay City. All eyes across the country will be on this race–its result will determine control of the Michigan State Senate. Will you donate $10, $20, or more right now so we can defend our majority?

It’s an opportunity to show Republicans, from Donald Trump down to those in Lansing, that their agenda is out of step with Michigan families. Republicans have voted to cut funding to schools and healthcare all while continuously siding with special interests over working people. This election is our opportunity to show how out of step the Republican Party is. We’re going to hold them accountable, and voters are going to decide whether we keep moving Michigan forward.

Make no mistake, if Republicans take this seat then Senate Democrats will lose their ability to stand-up against Speaker Matt Hall and House Republicans. That’s why I need your help right now–please chip in what you can.
