Dear Green American,

Trump’s EPA is working to give the fossil fuel industry its biggest prize — ending the regulation of all pollution causing climate change.

The EPA has proposed rescinding the “Endangerment Finding” which would eliminate the requirement to protect communities from climate change. Regulation of power plants, automobile emissions, and many other sources of climate pollutants would evaporate.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin isn’t hiding the Administration’s intentions, even going so far as engaging in outright denial of increasing climate impacts, and saying of climate science “it’s a hoax.” If the Trump Administration is successful, it would mean that EPA doesn’t need to do its number one job: protect people and the planet from the ravages of climate change.

Right now, the Trump Administration is taking comments from the public as part of an official comment period. We need to flood the agency with comments in opposition.

Trump and his cronies are ignoring the heatwaves, the more intense storms, and natural disasters that are evidence of climate change. These disasters are already costing us billions of dollars per year, and that will rise into the trillions if we don’t act.

Join Green America and colleagues in telling the Trump Administration to preserve the Endangerment Finding and treat climate change with the seriousness it deserves.
