They tried to use Los Angeles as a test case to see just how far they can go in seizing power from local leaders, in defying democracy, and in rolling back civil rights and civil liberties. This administration’s assault on Angelenos was unprecedented and meant to divide us and sow chaos.

Today’s ruling is a big step in the right direction in our fight against this overreach.
