Hi John,

This weekend, hashtags like #TrumpIsDead trended as Trump disappeared from view for nearly a week.

Rumors flew: some claimed Melania was spotted at Walter Reed, a viral video seemed to show a black bag dropped from a White House window, and even Trump’s own golf photos were scrutinized — revealed to be more than a week old.

These are unfounded rumors. But here’s what we do know:

* Trump’s doctors say he has venous insufficiency.
* Recent photos show him with bruised hands and swollen legs.
* He continues to ramble incoherently at public events, showing clear signs of mental decline.
* And the White House has taken the extraordinary step of removing nearly all of Trump’s public remarks from its website.

In a moment, we’ll contrast this muted coverage with how the press mercilessly hounded Joe Biden. But first: if you’re tired of a media that lets Trump skate while holding Democrats to impossible standards, please give to COURIER today. [[link removed]]

While Trump and Elon Musk dismantled the government in his first 100 days, many in the press were still fixated on Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.

Jake Tapper’s book Original Sin dominated headlines, alleging Biden’s staff covered up his health struggles by canceling events, limiting appearances, editing transcripts, and shielding him from unscripted press.

For weeks, reporters and pundits hammered Democrats — some even blaming the entire party, and the news media itself, for failing to scrutinize Biden hard enough.

So where are all of those voices today?

For a week, Trump vanished from public view. He continues to show visible signs of decline in his speeches. His White House is erasing the record by deleting transcripts. And before these latest health issues, Trump had already spent nearly 20% of his presidency golfing — one out of every five working days.

It’s a double standard. The public deserves answers about the health of the President of the United States.

COURIER exists to hold Trump and MAGA accountable when the legacy media is too captured to do it. We’re building the country’s largest progressive news network to tell the truth where it matters most — in the very communities where MAGA propaganda spreads.
