Workplace Rights Week is Sept. 21-27

Join the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for Workplace Rights Week, Sept. 21-27, 2025 -- a week dedicated to raising awareness about workplace protections across the state. We will visit businesses and community organizations, conduct webinars, mobile clinics and a Facebook Live Q&A focused on wage and hour rights.

This statewide initiative is an opportunity to educate both workers and employers about their rights and responsibilities. Safe and healthy workplaces are essential to strong communities and a thriving economy. View the full schedule and register at dli.mn.gov/rights-week.

Webinar -- Labor standards for young workers and their families in Minnesota:  Child labor laws, school activities leave and more

Join us for a webinar about Minnesota labor laws affecting young workers and their families. We will cover child labor rules, school activities leave and key resources to help workers, parents and employers understand and follow the law.

CCLD Fall Seminar offered at six locations

Registration is open for the Construction Codes and Licensing Division's (CCLD's) Fall Seminar designed for construction and building industry professionals. Gain insights into the development of national and state building codes and learn how you can be a part of the process. Additionally, hear about important code changes and updates for inspectors and contractors.


MNOSHA fatality, serious-injury investigation summaries online

Each month, Minnesota OSHA (MNOSHA) Compliance publishes current, updated summaries of its fatality investigations and serious-injury investigations.

For the federal-fiscal-year that began Oct. 1, 2024, MNOSHA has investigated 17 fatalities through Aug. 29.

The information provided about each investigation is:  the inspection number, date of incident and worksite city; the type of business and number of employees; a description of the event; and the outcome of the MNOSHA Compliance investigation.
