Welcome to the Design It For Us email list! We’re so excited to have you. My name is Zamaan Qureshi, and I am the Co-Chair of Design It For Us (also known as DIFU). We’re a youth-led coalition of young people, activists, and leaders working to disrupt the toxic business models of Big Tech.

Founded in 2023, our goal has always been to put youth voices at the center of the responsible technology policy-making process. We started with just a few people, and in two short years, we’ve grown to hundreds of activists from across the country and around the world.

So far, we’ve endorsed 11 state and federal bills, and helped get bills like the Vermont and Maryland Kids Codes signed into law [1]. We developed research into Instagram’s “Teen Account” safety features, exposing their dangers to youth mental health [2]. And we’ve got big plans to dream beyond the world Big Tech has created: We’re designing it for us.
