The GOP wants to “break up” the National Weather Service and “fully
commercialize” weather forecasting.
They’ve already installed a Trump loyalist who supports slashing the
Weather Service’s funding and outsourcing forecasts to profit-hungry
private companies.
Yet another instance of them putting profits over people.
This is particularly sickening in the wake of tragic weather events like
the flooding in Texas or the wildfires in California.
