,
On Labor Day, we honor the people who power our communities — the nurses and teachers, tradespeople and techs, caregivers and creators, first responders and small-business teams. Your skill, dignity, and perseverance keep Ohio moving.
Today is a reminder that progress at work didn’t happen by accident — safer workplaces, fairer hours, and stronger protections were won by people who stood together. We owe it to them, and to the next generation, to keep advancing respect, opportunity, and a fair wage for an honest day’s work.
It is also a reminder of the power that each of us has to make positive change in the world. Through organizing, shared struggle, and yes, even politics, we can indeed have a deeply meaningful impact on our communities and the world around us.
Thank you for all you do. I hope you get a well-earned moment of rest and joy with family and friends.
With gratitude,
-Allison
