My job in Congress is to advocate for the working families of the 4th district and make sure that their needs, wants, and values are heard and reflected in policy.

Regardless of the distractions coming from the White House, here's what I'm fighting to deliver for Oregonians:

• Paid family and medical leave for all
• Universal health coverage
• Strong labor and collective bargaining rights
• Expanded union apprenticeships and workforce development opportunities
• Expanded Social Security benefits so that all of us can retire with dignity

The Trump administration and his Republican majority in Congress are afraid of how much power workers hold – and they're hoping to scare us into submission.

But this isn't my first time defending our union rights, and it won't be my last. When they come for one of us, they come for all of us, which means we must be more united than ever.

Strong unions will rebuild a strong middle class – and give everyone the opportunity to live the American dream that the labor movement fought to make a reality.

Standing together is the only way to win – and I will stay in this fight as long as I have the honor of representing you.
