Labor Day is not only a celebration of the progress made by the labor movement—it is also a call to continue the fight for fair wages, safe workplaces, affordable healthcare, and the dignity that every worker deserves.

Here in Broward County, we know that our economy, our schools, our public services, and our future rest on the shoulders of working people. From educators and nurses, to first responders, to hospitality and service workers, to construction crews and small business employees—the working class is the backbone of our community.

The Broward Democratic Party stands proudly with organized labor and all working families. We are committed to protecting collective bargaining rights, strengthening workplace protections, and ensuring that no worker is left behind in the pursuit of the American Dream.

As we gather with friends and family this Labor Day, let us remember the sacrifices of those who came before us—and recommit ourselves to building a future where every worker has a fair shot, every job has dignity, and every community thrives.
