Happy Labor Day to you and your loved ones. I hope you’ve enjoyed your extended weekend and took time to re-energize yourselves and celebrate together.

I want to take a moment to recognize the progress we’ve made in America through the leadership of workers and organizers in the labor movement.

It’s because of their tireless efforts that we now have better and safer working conditions. We owe it to the labor movement for our weekends, 8-hour workdays, minimum wage, child labor laws, and so much more.

As your Congresswoman here in NC-02, I honor this legacy by continuing this fight. I’ve supported legislation to create more good-paying jobs, raise the minimum wage, protect workers' rights, and reduce the tax burden on working families.

And, as long as I’m representing you, I’ll never stop fighting to support the hardworking people of North Carolina.
