UPDATED FEES & CHARGES

As of Monday 1 September, some of our fees and charges have changed.

This will primarily affect printing and photocopying prices, as well as replacement library cards, and Inter-Library loans.

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE

The Summer Reading Challenge ends on Saturday 6 September!

Don't forget to keep visiting the library to collect your stickers - everyone who reads 6 books will get a certificate and an invite to a special medal ceremony! 🌟

Medal Ceremonies

If your child has finished the Summer Reading Challenge, you should have received an invitation to your library's Medal Ceremony!

Head to your library to ask about the date of the Medal Ceremony, and let them know if you'll be attending.

BOOK CLUB DAY 2025

Celebrate the joy of Reading Groups on Thursday 11 September

Thursday 11 September is Book Club Day UK – a national celebration of book clubs, connection, and community from The Reading Agency.

We have a number of reading groups across our libraries - Take a look to find your nearest one.

Across our social media in September, we'll be highlighting the books that our Reading Groups are discussing this month. Why not read them yourself and let us know what you think?

You can also find the list of books our Groups are reading on our catalogue page. All titles are available to reserve for free with a library membership. Alternatively, you can search for them in eBook or eAudiobook formats on BorrowBox.

• Meet face-to-face with local employers offering live vacancies

From Maker to Market

Are you thinking of trading at a market but unsure where to start? Join us for a practical, inspiring workshop designed to help you prepare for a successful market stall experience—from setup to sales!

SHERWOOD FORESTERS EXHIBITION

An exhibition curated by the Museum of the Mercian Regiment.

To commemorate VE day, and the end of World War II, Nottingham Central Library is proud to present an exhibition curated by the Museum of the Mercian Regiment.

The exhibition pays tribute to the remarkable service of the Sherwood Foresters throughout the war, detailing the bravery and sacrifices made by the members of the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire regiment.
