John,
Today, we honor the hardworking men and women who keep our communities strong — the teachers, nurses, tradespeople, first responders, and so many others who show up every day to move our country forward.
The American labor movement has given us so much: fairer wages, safer workplaces, the 40-hour workweek, and the right to organize. These victories weren’t handed out — they were won by workers who stood up and demanded better. I’m proud to stand with them, in Congress and at home in eastern Connecticut.
This Labor Day, I also want to say thank you — to you. With your support, we reached our end-of-month fundraising goal, and that means we’re in a strong position to keep fighting for working families, labor rights, and the future we all believe in.
Your support powers this campaign, and I’m deeply grateful to have you on this team.
Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and meaningful Labor Day.
In solidarity,
Joe Courtney
