When my brother and I founded ecofi 13 years ago, we didn’t just want to make money. We wanted to succeed by uplifting our community, paying our workers fairly, and showing the world that conserving water can be a successful business.
Despite the naysayers, we made it happen.
I know that right now, too many of Miami’s workers are doing double or even triple overtime just to make ends meet. I know that costs just keep rising, and health and safety protections for workers are under attack.
But just like when I started ecofi, I know things can change if we’re willing to try something different.
That’s why I’m running for Congress — because I know we can uplift our workers AND our community at the same time. I know that if we raise wages, make childcare affordable, and lower costs, we can all prosper.
Happy Labor Day!
