Clean energy jobs 🤝 good-paying jobs

Happy Labor Day, friend!
Today, we honor the American labor movement and celebrate the contributions that working people make each and every day towards building a better future.
We believe that climate and labor movements are inextricably linked in the fight for that future—one where no one has to choose between a good-paying job and a healthy environment.
There are numerous benefits of a clean energy economy for the workforce. For one, it improves conditions for workers, particularly those who are exposed to polluted air or extreme temperatures while on the job.
Clean energy is also creating good, union jobs. It’s generating more jobs per dollar invested than the fossil fuel industry, which has been firing workers while cashing in record profits.

It’s possible to build an economy that works for all of us. In doing so, we can take back power from the ultrarich fossil fuel CEOs and corporations that are sucking workers dry and endangering our future on this planet.
There’s so much work to do, but rest and reflection are important too. So if you have the day off, please enjoy—and thank you for all that you do!
In solidarity,
Team Evergreen
P.S. Authoritarians fear organized workers. We’re proud that our Evergreen staff are unionized—strong unions are how we build a better future.
Evergreen is building the ambitious, actionable policy roadmap for an all-out mobilization to defeat climate change—and to create millions of jobs in a thriving, just, and inclusive clean energy future. None of this would be possible without your support.
