Fellow activist,
We wanted to reach out to thank you for your support as we end the Summer and, most importantly, to wish you a happy Labor Day!
The labor movement harnessed collective power to transform our nation, built the middle class, and won critical worker protections — despite often violent and sometimes deadly resistance. Every day, we are inspired by the labor movement’s tireless efforts and sacrifices.
Similarly, expanding the electorate is about using collective power to accomplish transformative change.
That’s why we are out every day in our centered communities across Pennsylvania, engaging Pennsylvanians to tap into their power by voting in every single election to shape our state for the better.
We still have a lot of work to do to improve worker conditions in Pennsylvania – including continuing the fight to increase the minimum wage, which has been stuck at $7.25 an hour for more than a decade. That is why it’s important to elect candidates who represent the change and policies we all want to see for our future. And that is why it’s so important that we continue to engage eligible voters to turn out for every election, twice a year.
Thank you for standing with us in this fight today and every day.
In solidarity,
Team NPP
Donations to the New Pennsylvania Project supports our staff’s community engagement efforts including; organizing and hosting town halls, educational webinars, community conversations, and creating digital content, bi-weekly blasts and social media to reach the communities we engage year-round.
The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
