Happy Labor Day!

In addition to your own plans today, I’d like to invite you to join me in celebrating Labor Day:

Because of the American labor union movement and the brave leaders behind it, we have this holiday, state minimum wages, higher safety standards, and the right to organize and form unions.

I honor their legacy by advocating for Maryland’s workers and unions. It’s why I’ve worked over the past four years to build a more resilient and equitable state where every worker can thrive and have a fair chance to make their voice heard, and to modernize our economy. It’s also why I’ve fought to protect our federal workers.

I wish you and your family a safe and restful Labor Day.
