Thank you for trusting me to fight for you in D.C., for standing by our campaign through every tough race, and for always showing up when it matters most. 

I have spent my life serving the people of eastern North Carolina the best ways I know how. From my first job in the tobacco fields, to serving in the Air Force for eight years, to having the privilege to serve as mayor of Snow Hill, state senator, and now congressman. The work that I have done has always been to make our community the best it can be.  

I’m proud of what we have accomplished together, but the road ahead will not be easy. Our race was the most expensive in the state last November, and it looks like 2026 will be no different. The GOP has named this race as one of their top targets in their effort to keep their House majority.
