Hi Friends,
I took a walk this week through some of Vermont’s many beautiful trails. It’s a ritual I do often when I’m home in Vermont. It helps me clear my head and reconnect with nature.
It also makes me appreciate how lucky Vermonters are to be surrounded by such a beautiful landscape. It’s good for our communities. It’s good for our economy. It’s good for the soul.
And we have to fight to protect it.
We’re facing existential crises on multiple fronts. Big Oil wants to destroy the environment to drill and pollute. President Trump wants to sell off protected land and fire National Park workers. Climate change threatens to destroy ecosystems that have existed for centuries.
This problem will not go away on its own. We all have to work together.
I’ll continue my work in the Senate to advance legislation that protects our natural lands, generates more green power to save us money on our energy bills, and combats climate change threatening our state.
Thanks,
Peter
