As the Interim Executive Director of the Montana Democratic Party, I understand this position comes with a huge amount of responsibility. As our party works every day to push back against Donald Trump and move our state forward, it’s my job to make sure every Montana Democrat — incumbent and challenger — has the resources they need to succeed.

But the truth is, building a strong state party doesn’t just happen overnight. In order to win on the next Election Day (and all the ones that come after), we have to win the months and years leading up to it too.

That means getting our Democratic message out to voters even when the next election is still a long way away. And yes, it means sending our top supporters annoying emails like these in order to build up our war chest for the fights ahead.

Thanks to supporters donating to emails like this one, Montana Democrats broke the GOP’s supermajority in Helena even on a tough election night. But if we want to take back our state for good, we have to keep working. We have to keep grinding. And we have to keep fighting.
