I won’t sugarcoat it. The backsliding of American democracy has been unlike anything we’ve seen in this country.

Donald Trump and his Republican cronies are becoming increasingly bold in their attacks — and they have no plans to slow down.

Before I continue, will you chip in $10 to help us build the infrastructure to flip the House blue and stop this chaos now?

The Trump administration has been testing the waters to see how far it can push its authoritarian agenda.

They’ve attacked the free press by gutting funding for public broadcasting and lashing out at media platforms that criticize Trump.

They’ve undermined voting rights by blatantly gerrymandering Texas for Republican control.

They’ve deployed troops to cities like Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., to intimidate communities through a show of force.

And this is just the beginning. Donald Trump has been purging voter files across the country (60,000 and counting, here in North Carolina), and he announced plans to ban vote-by-mail. We know it won’t end there.
