The results of Republicans’ Big, Ugly Bill will be devastating, John. 24,000 Illinoisans will lose their health care coverage, and even more will see their premiums skyrocket. 80,000 students in Illinois could lose free lunch 82,000 families are at risk of losing their SNAP benefits and will have trouble putting food on the table. Here’s another number for you: 218. That’s how many House Republicans voted for this. 218 members of the House were elected by people in their state because they thought they would look out for their best interests — and then they turned around and sold them out to fund tax cuts for billionaires.
