Friend, I’m still coming down from the amazing rally I held with Senator Elizabeth Warren on Friday night (and I bet the sugar from the bucket of Sweet Martha’s cookies we shared isn’t helping, either!)
I will share with you what I told the audience that night: This is a scary moment in our country. Donald Trump and extremist billionaires are ransacking our government.
They’ve sold out our kids, our families, and our small businesses, and they’re giving a huge middle finger to our farmers who feed us every day.
We’ve got to send more folks to Washington who actually get what our neighbors are up against.
People with the courage to fight back against the powerful corporate interests who are pulling the strings these days. People who actually live in the real world, like you and me.
But this isn’t just about Donald Trump. We have to do more than just go back to where we were before him. Now is the time to fight for MORE.
Raising the minimum wage and paid family leave were moonshot ideas when I took them on here in Minnesota. But we got them done — because we dared to dream of something better than just surviving.
So yes, things are tough right now. But I have never abandoned my capacity to hope and to believe in a better future — and I hope you’ll join me by chipping in to my campaign.
