This is a slap in the face to Epstein’s victims and everyone who believes in accountability.

Hi John, I wanted to make sure you saw my email from last night.

After dragging their feet and missing the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena deadline, the Trump administration turned over only 33,000 pages of the Epstein files.

But after careful review overnight, we now know that 97% of these documents were already public.

Not only were the documents they turned over incomplete, but less than 1,000 of the 33,000 pages turned over to the Oversight Committee are new disclosures.

On the same day, Trump’s Department of Justice released the interview between Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell — who is vying for a pardon from Donald Trump — and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche to distract from their lack of transparency.

It’s clear that the Trump administration is still hiding the truth from the American people. Enough with the BS — we need full transparency now.

I was on MSNBC and CNN last night to discuss the Trump administration’s refusal to be transparent with the American people.

Please read my message below, and if you can, pitch in to help me continue being a voice in the fight for accountability.

Thank you,

Yassamin

Subject: We just received the first batch of the Epstein files

John,

After Donald Trump missed the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena deadline to turn over the full Epstein files, we just received the first batch of documents. I spoke with Antonia Hylton on MSNBC’s The Beat about the Trump administration’s lack of transparency and what comes next.

I’ll explain more in just a moment, but first, please make a contribution of any amount right now to help me continue speaking out against this corrupt administration.

Yassamin Ansari on MSNBC

“The Trump administration is the most corrupt administration in American History … Everything that they do is a distraction from something else.”

The Trump Administration claims to be “the most transparent in history.” But if Trump had nothing to hide and this was a “hoax,” as he called it, he'd release the files in full. No delays, no excuses.

Instead of giving the American people the transparency they deserve, the Trump administration is creating crisis after crisis to distract the American people — like deploying the National Guard in Washington, DC, to take the attention off of their own corruption.

That’s why we have to hold their feet to the fire.

As the review process of this first batch begins, I, along with my Democratic colleagues on the Oversight Committee, will assess these documents with a close eye and continue speaking out about the Trump administration’s refusal to release the full files.

The American people deserve full accountability and transparency from this administration. If you’re with me, please chip in now to help me continue fighting for accountability:
