Friend,
Wow! [ [link removed] ]Since we launched our #Trumpflation project last week, parents
from across the country have been sharing photos and stories of the high
prices they’re seeing around them: Coffee, eggs, gas, diapers, toothpaste,
and other everyday basics. As Deborah, from Ocean Park, WA says, “Prices
are higher for everything and it is hard to afford living on only social
   security!!”
Help get rising prices under control!! *Can you join us in taking a photo
of some of the high price tags that you see around you – and then posting
the photo on your social media with #Trumpflation so we can find and boost
   your picture?
Together, we’re building a powerful picture of how our families are being
squeezed, shining a spotlight on the need for solutions, and building
toward the change we all need. [ [link removed] ]Let's keep the momentum going and make
   our voices impossible to ignore.
The most important thing you can do right now is add your voice on social
media or [ [link removed] ]directly on our #Trumpflation website:
     * Post a photo of a high price tag or bill on your social media with the
hashtag #Trumpflation. Make sure to tag @MomsRising too so it’s easier
       for us to find.
       AND/OR
     * [ [link removed] ]Submit your story directly using the form on the #trumpflation
       site!
After you've shared your story, please also take a moment to sign the
petition demanding Congress stop the cuts and take real action to lower
   costs. Here is the link:

Have you gone grocery shopping recently, gone through the check out
counter, and then had your jaw drop? My last trip to the grocery store
seemed normal, we purchased items that were on our normal grocery list,
but then I checked out and saw the bill. NOT NORMAL AT ALL.
   [ [link removed] ]It’s #Trumpflation.

cuts to healthcare, food, and education: Take real action to lower costs

Trump promised to lower costs for families, but prices are still WAY TOO
HIGH. Moms know it. We all know it. Now Republican leaders who are cutting
Medicaid, childcare, SNAP (and other policies that help lower costs for
families and boost the economy) need to know it too.
You're not imagining things when you look at price tags, receipts, or
bills and find yourself audibly gasping out loud. Rising costs are
negatively impacting families across the nation – and are undermining our
economy as a whole. At MomsRising, we’re fed up with high prices and with
the lies we keep hearing from Trump and congressional Republicans about
   the economy.
So what have we done? [ [link removed] ]We’ve started a NEW project to raise awareness of
#Trumpflation and let people report what their families are facing!
     * We're working with an economist to share regular explainer information
about what everyday moms and families are seeing and experiencing, in
order to bust some economic myths and push for solutions. Watch for
       posts soon!
     * We're working with YOU to report rising prices on our brand new
micro-website, [ [link removed] ]#Trumpflation, which launches TODAY, where your
pictures of price tags and bills will be posted so we can all see
what’s happening in order to shift the narrative and shape solutions.
—> How does working with YOU, well, work? Anytime you see a price tag or a
bill that makes your jaw drop, or causes you to gasp out loud, or makes
you feel like your blood pressure is rising, or causes your stomach to
   sink, then you:
     * Take a picture of the price tag or bill.
     * Post your picture online on your social media accounts with
#Trumpflation as the hashtag AND/OR submit it directly on the
[ [link removed] ]#Trumpflation website. When posting on social media, be sure to
also tag @MomsRising so it is easy for us to find.
     * Be sure to omit any personal information in your photo.
Everyday, we’ll share new social posts and website submissions on the
#Trumpflation website, exposing what everyday working families like ours
are facing as we push for solutions.
Rising costs are a big deal and our voices are needed: After all, along
with other rising costs of living, food prices have continued to rise by
nearly 20% in recent years (20%!!!) – and despite President Trump’s
campaign promises of lowering prices, prices are expected to continue to
rise even more because of chaotic tariffs, worker shortages due to
anti-immigrant policies, and also due to cuts to funding for healthcare,
education, childcare, and other programs that provide the tools families
need to build good lives. [1]
[ [link removed] ]Don’t forget to click here to tell Republican leaders in Congress who
just voted for BIG cuts to healthcare, food, and education: Take real
action to lower costs for families immediately. Stop the cuts to programs
that provide the opportunities and tools for families to make ends meet
and build good lives like healthcare, childcare, SNAP, education, and
   more.
(When you click the link you will automatically be signed on if we have
   all your information.)
But reaching out to Congress isn’t ALL that we’re doing. Importantly,
along with YOU, we’re also shining a spotlight on America’s emergency of
rising costs including everything from the costs of food and diapers, to
the costs of childcare and back-to-school supplies, to the costs of
healthcare, housing, utility bills, and other basic necessities. Why?
Because putting a spotlight on problems shows the real impact of cuts and
chaos on families – and, importantly, helps spark real policy solutions
   that actually work.
Do you want to do EVEN MORE to help solve the crisis of rising costs than
reaching out to Congress? We have a simple plan for YOU, me, and us:
Anytime you see a price tag or a bill that makes your jaw drop, causes you
to gasp out loud, makes you feel like your blood pressure is rising, or
causes your stomach to sink… take a picture of it – and then post your
picture online on your social media accounts with #Trumpflation as the
hashtag. And don’t forget to tag @MomsRising so it is easy for us to find.
This will help shift and shape the narrative. Be sure to omit any personal
   information in your photo!
→ Not on social media? Prefer to submit your story directly? [ [link removed] ]Just fill
out this form on the #Trumpflation website to report your experiences with
   rising costs.
You don’t need to be buying the item or service in order to take a picture
and post it with #Trumpflation. You could just see any price tag as you’re
walking through a store, scrolling on your computer, or going about your
life. Just snap a picture of it – and post on all your social media
platforms with #Trumpflation or [ [link removed] ]submit it directly. If enough of us do
this, then the faster we’ll be able to get to policy solutions.
And feel free to invite your friends and family into this new project too.
It’s a great way to vent about rising costs while also helping to make a
   difference.
Let’s go! Thank you for ALL you do!
