Dear John,

The call to action to the defund the police in response to the growing number of murders of Black and Brown people by the police across the country is growing. We cannot in good conscience continue to support an entity that continues to abuse the public’s trust with funds generated by our public and tuition dollars.

In response, PSN member org UnKoch My Campus, has created a toolkit to help students demand police-free campuses nationwide and fully divest from police presence on college campuses. PSN is proud to support any and all efforts by our member organizations in an effort to bring about a world without police and state violence.

UnKoch My Campus says, “This toolkit is intended to help students create targeted letter-writing campaigns to call on their respective institutions to cut ties with police, envision a future without police presence on campus, and use public records requests to better understand their school’s relationship with the police.”
