SEND THIS STORY TO CONGRESS
Right now, LGBTQ-inclusive books are being pulled from classrooms and libraries at an alarming rate. One of them—Uncle Bobby’s Wedding, a joyful children’s book co-published by GLAAD and Little Bee Books—was cited in a devastating U.S. Supreme Court ruling that opens the door to even more extreme book bans.

The story follows Chloe, a young girl who learns that when her favorite uncle marries his boyfriend, she isn’t losing him—she’s gaining another loving family member. But today, even a message this heartwarming is under attack.
In her powerful dissent, Justice Sotomayor included images from the book and urged people to “go directly to the source.”
We couldn’t agree more.
That’s why GLAAD is sending a copy of Uncle Bobby’s Wedding to every member of Congress and the Supreme Court — to put this story in their hands and take a stand against censorship. But we need 544 supporters to give $50 or more to make it happen. ([link removed])
Everyone—especially LGBTQ youth—deserves to see themselves reflected in the books they read. That’s why we work every day to make sure LGBTQ stories are created, celebrated, and defended.
Help us send Uncle Bobby’s Wedding to the U.S. Congress and SCOTUS to keep LGBTQ stories visible. Please make a gift today. Together, we can defend LGBTQ books and the young readers who need them. ([link removed])
