Folks — three years ago, President Joe Biden signed our Inflation Reduction Act into law, legislation I’d spent months negotiating and fine-tuning with my colleagues.

We lowered prescription drug prices, expanded health care coverage, and passed the single LARGEST climate investment in history. And we paid for every penny of it by making corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share.

We invested billions to transition to clean energy, reduce emissions, and install energy-efficient home upgrades like heat pumps and electric stoves — making it cheaper for families to heat and cool their home while creating millions of good-paying, clean energy jobs.

And that's not all! The Inflation Reduction Act also expanded health care coverage and lowered prescription drug costs, putting money back into millions of Americans’ pockets.

So on the anniversary of this bill's passage, it is important to remember: Our Democratic majority in Congress is what made all of this possible. Not a single Republican voted for this bill.

Look, you sent me to the Senate to fight for climate action, affordability, and good-paying jobs. We’ve made some progress, but there’s still plenty of work to get done in Washington. Now, we’ve got to take back the majority and stop Trump and the Republicans from rolling back all of the progress we’ve made, and get to work delivering even more for Colorado’s working people.
