Hi Friend,

When was the last time you were presented with the opportunity to literally change the world?

In May, Animal Outlook revealed the results of our first ever Farm Transitions project. Partnering with Mr. Bill Ferguson, a former Tyson chicken farmer based in southeast Alabama, we completely reimagined the way he produces food by helping him retrofit his chicken sheds with deep water cultivation and special lights to grow lettuce. Where once thousands of chickens were crowded into dark, dirty spaces, rows and rows of vibrant and delicious produce have taken their place. What's even more amazing is that much of that lettuce will be delivered to local schools, providing fresh, healthy salad options for the school children of Alabama.

And when the harvest started, the world took notice. In July, Mr. Ferguson was visited by a number of key stakeholders who all want to see AO's model of transition succeed. Leaders such as Alveda King, who holds a key advisory role in the USDA, toured Mr. Ferguson's new operation. State and local leadership such as Dothan, Alabama Mayor Mark Saliba and Alabama State Representatives Paul Lee, Marcus Paramore, and Steve Clouse offered their support in shaping policy to make it easier for farmers to transition out of animal agriculture in the future. And dozens of local farmers expressed interest in being the next farm to undergo the process.

Now it's time to dream even bigger, and we need your help. Your donation is the key piece we're missing to make a huge impact and remove thousands of animals from the food system. Can we count on your support?

Over the next few months, Animal Outlook's Farm Transitions team will be working to expand the program even more. That means more partner farms, faster transitions, and more animals spared from a life of suffering.

Each new transition means:
* Up to 500,000 chickens removed from the food system
* Thousands of pounds of fresh, locally grown produce for communities struggling to find healthy, vegan options
* A family farm saved from the predatory practices of major chicken producers

We're closer than ever to creating a true revolution that is going to save countless animals while benefitting farming communities across the country. But we can't do this without you. Would you make a gift today to help us ensure a plant-based future we can be proud of?

With gratitude,
Angela De Freitas
Director of Farm Transitions
