AP NEWS: The VA wants to end coverage of abortion for US military veterans

The Trump administration is demanding the Department of Veterans Affairs to enact an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or even the health or life of the mother.

This is the most aggressive ban in the entire country—and they’re testing it on our veterans. These are people who have fought for our freedoms and rights, and now, they’re having one of their most basic healthcare rights taken away. It’s despicable.

Women should have the right to make their own healthcare decisions. They should know their doctors will be there for them if they face complications. Our veterans, those who fight to defend our basic freedoms, deserve nothing less. This is not how we treat those who have served, and we can’t let it stand. Kim has always been a champion for women’s rights, and she will never stop standing up for our veterans, too.
