I released my 2025 Border Security Plan to restore law and order at our borders, end illegal immigration, and protect American communities. My plan codifies President Donald Trump’s historic achievements so the chaos and lawlessness of President Biden’s open-border policies are never repeated. Under Biden, over 10 million illegal immigrants poured into our country unchecked, dangerous criminals were released into our communities, and construction of the border wall was halted. The result was the worst humanitarian and security crisis in decades, flooding our neighborhoods with drugs, criminal gangs, and human trafficking. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership and the tireless work of Border Czar Tom Homan, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and our local partners, border security is being restored. My plan ensures we continue that momentum.
My 2025 Border Security Plan focuses on three core priorities: Securing Our Borders, Prioritizing America First, and Upholding the Rule of Law. It strengthens our Southern and Northern Borders, hires more CBP and ICE agents, completes the border wall, deploys advanced detection technology to stop fentanyl trafficking, and mandates the deportation of criminal illegal aliens. It also ends federal funding for sanctuary cities and holds states that undermine federal immigration laws accountable. With strong enforcement, commonsense reforms, and a renewed commitment to the safety of the American people, we can ensure our communities never again face the devastating consequences of open-border policies.

| | Supporting Our Law Enforcement |
My 2025 Law Enforcement Plan backs the blue, restores public safety, and rebuilds trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve. For too long, radical defund-and-demoralize policies have vilified our officers, stripped resources, and emboldened criminals. My plan focuses on three key priorities: Supporting Our Law Enforcement and Corrections Officers, Removing Barriers to Protecting Our Communities, and Ensuring Officers Have the Resources and Protections They Need. It delivers real solutions, deporting illegal aliens who assault police, establishing a national Law Enforcement Bill of Rights, repealing dangerous sanctuary laws, restoring commonsense bail standards, expanding qualified immunity, modernizing nonlethal technology laws, and protecting first responders from deadly substances like fentanyl. Since 2021, over 1,000 officers have died in the line of duty, making this the deadliest period in decades for law enforcement. I will always stand with our courageous law enforcement officers and fight to ensure they have the respect, protection, and support they deserve.

| | Governor Hochul's Redistricting Hypocrisy | | Governor Kathy Hochul has left no doubt she’s willing to rewrite New York’s Constitution to give herself and Albany Democrats the power to gerrymander mid-decade. After saying “we must do the same” if Texas moves forward, she is openly embracing the same partisan map-rigging that Democrats have used for decades to cling to power in states such as New York, Illinois, and California. Hochul’s record proves she presided over one of the most brazen gerrymanders in modern New York history in 2022, when Democrats tried to erase Republican districts and silence voters who disagreed with them. Now she wants to change the rules again to cement her party’s control for years to come. This is not about fairness or representation; it’s about Kathy Hochul rigging the system to keep power, no matter the cost to our democracy. | | Restoring Safety and Beauty to Our Nation's Capital | | Washington, D.C. must once again be a safe, clean, and welcoming capital city for all Americans. After years of failed city leadership, crime continues to threaten residents, workers, and visitors despite having a police force of roughly 3,500 officers, more than enough for such a small area. President Trump is taking decisive steps to end this lawlessness, from cracking down on violent crime to ensuring our public spaces are well-maintained and inviting. His leadership is restoring law and order, improving the use of taxpayer dollars, and returning D.C. to its rightful place as the most beautiful and secure capital in the world. Our nation’s capital should reflect the very best of America, and these actions are making that vision a reality. | |
As your representative in Congress, my top priority is championing legislative initiatives that benefit you and your families. Each week, I review numerous bills and letters, engaging in thorough discussions with members of our community to determine which actions to support and address your needs. Below are a few bills I recently cosponsored.
H.R. 3134, the Emergency Care Improvement Act: This bill would permanently expand access to emergency medical care for Medicare, Tricare, and Medicaid beneficiaries by allowing Freestanding Emergency Centers (FECs) to participate in these programs. FECs are fully licensed emergency departments staffed 24/7 by emergency medicine-trained physicians and registered nurses, offering the same level of care as hospital-based ERs but often at a lower cost to the Medicare program. During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, CMS waived certain requirements to allow FECs to enroll as Medicare-certified hospitals, enabling over 110 centers to serve thousands of seniors and other patients. This legislation ensures that these facilities can continue delivering high-quality, cost-effective emergency care, expanding patient choice, increasing competition in the healthcare system, and strengthening access to lifesaving treatment, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
H.R. 2853, the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act: This bill would direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish the Organized Retail and Supply Chain Crime Coordination Center. Retailers across the country face theft and fraud in stores, online shopping websites, and throughout the entire retail ecosystem due to the illegal activities of retail crime organizations. This center will coordinate and organize federal law enforcement specializing in organized retail and supply chain crime to work with state and local law enforcement agencies to combat these national and transnational criminal organizations.
H.R. 354, the Small Business Growth Act: This bill would amend the tax code to increase the amount that small businesses may deduct for the depreciation of new equipment. This would allow small businesses to reinvest capital into their operations and workforce, increase U.S. production, and create more jobs in the economy. It is essential that we help more small businesses invest in additional equipment to expand their operations in western and central New York.
H.R. 295, Fair Milk Pricing for Farmers Act: This bill would require the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to publish updated dairy pricing reports every two years based on information gathered from dairy producers. This will increase accountability for the USDA and provide more transparency in the overall cost involved in the production of dairy products, while helping farmers to negotiate fair prices. Farmers are the heart of our district, and this legislation ensures our family farms have the most up-to-date data to make informed business decisions.
| | I had the pleasure of visiting My-T Acres in Genesee County, a family-owned farm that has been a cornerstone of our community since 1920. What began with 40 Jersey cows on 282 acres has grown into a 10,000-acre operation that farms up to 8,500 acres annually, driving our local economy and keeping our communities fed. The Call family’s dedication to agriculture for over a century reflects the resilience, innovation, and stewardship that define Upstate New York’s farmers. I’m grateful for their warm welcome and always inspired by the hardworking men and women who keep American agriculture strong. | | Oswego City Police Department Visit | | During my visit to the City of Oswego Police Department, I had the opportunity to meet with Chief Phillip Cady and members of the department’s 51-officer team, who provide 24/7 service and protection to residents. This department goes above and beyond with specialized units like the K9 Unit, Special Response Team, Drone & Robotics Unit, and Crisis Intervention Team, as well as community programs like foot, bike, and ATV patrols and a text-based feedback system to strengthen public trust. I’m committed to ensuring they have the resources, training, and support they need to keep Oswego safe. Thank you, Chief Cady and thanks to the men and women who keep our community safe. | | LifeNet NY Base in Seneca Falls | | This week, we visited LifeNet of New York and toured their base at the Finger Lakes Regional Airport in Seneca Falls, and met with their outstanding flight crews and saw firsthand the critical work they perform every day. Operating around the clock, LifeNet of New York provides rapid emergency and interfacility transport for critically ill and injured patients across the Finger Lakes and Upstate New York. Their highly trained pilots, flight nurses, and paramedics deliver advanced care directly to patients, often going out in the most challenging conditions, ensuring lifesaving treatment is only minutes away. Services such as these are much needed for our rural communities, and I am committed to supporting policies that strengthen rural healthcare, bolster emergency medical services, and provide our first responders with the resources they need to save lives. | | I was glad to visit the YMCA in Batavia to see the positive impact this facility is making in Genesee County. Supported in part through the New Markets Tax Credit program, which I championed in Congress, the YMCA provides vital programs and services that strengthen families, promote healthy living, and support youth development. Thank you to Maggie Collins from the Alliance of NYS YMCAs, Erik Fix, President & CEO of GLOW YMCA, and Rachel Hale, Senior Director of Association Advancement, for showing me all the good work the YMCA of Batavia does and discussing their vision for future projects in the community. | | Hosting the Bob Lonsberry Show – August 18 | | On Monday, August 18, I’ll be hosting the Bob Lonsberry Show on WHAM 1180 to talk about the issues that matter most to Upstate New York and our nation. We’ll be joined by an outstanding lineup of guests, including White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain, Senator George Borrello, Congressman Burgess Owens, Senator Pam Helming, and more. Together, we’ll cover how the One Big Beautiful Bill is delivering the largest middle-class tax cut in history, restoring American energy dominance, securing our borders, cutting waste and fraud, and protecting our communities. These will be conversations about real solutions and strong leadership that put hardworking Americans first. I hope you’ll tune in! | | Successful Casework Story | |
A married couple in Wyoming County was dealing with the IRS regarding an issue from 2020 that they were not made aware of until recently, causing a great deal of stress. The couple complied with the IRS, but continued to receive notices and experienced delays in the IRS's handling of this matter. After contacting my office, the IRS finally resolved this issue, bringing them peace of mind:
"My husband and I were advised to seek help from a government representative for our district. I reached out to Congresswoman Tenney's office. After my initial call, I was already hopeful that my issue would be resolved. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They also kept me informed as to the process. I could not be more pleased with the outcome."
