Hi there -
With the pandemic, many veterans fear increased mental health
issues and mass unemployment.
They need advocates in our government now more than ever. That's
why Mark Takano and some of his Democratic colleagues in the
House Veterans' Affairs Committee started Go for Broke for
Veterans, named after Mark's great-uncle's Japanese-American
combat team in the Second World War.
But now, we are coming up on our first Federal Election
Commission (FEC) filing deadline since our launch. We must show
the pollsters, pundits, and everyone else that our initiative has
what it takes to build big support for veterans in Congress come
November.
That's why we've set a goal to raise $20,000 between now and our
deadline on June 30. Chip in now →

There's a lot at stake with this deadline: not only is it our
first chance to show the nation that our movement has real
grassroots people-power behind it, but it will help us make
concrete change for our nation's heroes.
This initiative was born out of the idea that we need to elect
more people to Congress who will take a stand for our veterans -
making sure the VA isn't privatized, stopping for-profit
institutions from taking advantage of them, etc. - and every
donation made will bring us one step closer to that goal.
So please chip in today and help us reach our goal →

Thanks,
The team at Go for Broke
Named for his great uncle's World War II Japanese-American
combat team, Go for Broke for Veterans (GB4V) is spearheaded by
Congressman Mark Takano, Chair of the House Veterans' Affairs
Committee.
The goal of Go for Broke for Veterans (GB4V) is to ensure
that veterans have a powerful voice in Congress. By empowering
veterans, raising awareness and building public support for a
pro-veteran agenda, GB4V is focused on increasing access to
affordable healthcare, secure housing and ongoing educational
opportunities for our nation's heroes.
Contribute here to support the critical work GB4V is doing to
empower veterans.
