An update on last Tuesday's Democratic primary

Dear Higb,

Thank you!

Although the results of last Tuesday's Democratic primary will not be fully known until the unprecedented number of absentee ballots are counted, it appears to have been a good day for progressives across the city and Brooklyn in particular.

On the strength of in-person voting results alone, we feel confident in congratulating Rep. Yvette Clarke and Assemblymember Diana Richardson on their victories. Both are community-driven public servants and longtime friends of BYD. We are excited to see them both reelected in November!
Until the full results come in, we are hoping for the best for our endorsed candidates. Stay tuned to your inbox for updates.
Until then, thank you so much for the time and effort you put into helping BYD and its endorsed candidates during these incredibly challenging times. Winning elections does not change everything, but your determination to elect public officials cognizant of and accountable to the concerns of young people will pay off.
Best,
The Brooklyn Young Democrats Executive Board
