John, hope you saw Zane's note about the progress we've made so far. It's only been a week, and we've now knocked on close to 2,000 doors!

Our goal is to knock on 20,000 doors by the primary runoff on August 11th - that's where you come in John.

We aren't taking a single day off these next seven weeks, that's why we need your help.

ActBlue has a helpful option for our supporters to pitch in a small weekly donation through the August 11th primary runoff date. Our goal is to get at least 100 weekly sustainers, pitching in anywhere from $3-$25 a week. - [link removed]

Think about what you can afford, even if it's just a few dollars a week. Having that sustained weekly donation from over 100 supporters will ensure we can plan for a fully staffed field team each and every day.

Will you be one of our first 100 weekly donors?

- Ted

P.S. If you can't make a weekly contribution, consider making it monthly, or a one-time donation! Every dollar means more voters we can reach out to. - [link removed]

John,

Quick update from the Team Ted field crew. We've contacted nearly 800 voters in the last three days, the rain slowed us down a bit, but we just put on some ponchos and kept on knocking.

Many of the conversations we've had at the doors have been overwhelmingly positive. Here's what people are saying:

"Ted did a good job as Mayor of Clarkston, I trust he will do the same for DeKalb County."

"The racist war on drugs has led to the mass incarceration of mostly Black and Brown people, Ted led on criminal justice reform when Clarkston became the first city in Georgia to decriminalize Marijuana possession, we need those same reforms county-wide."

"Ted gave me his personal cell number, I've never had a politician be so accessible! He even called me back when I needed help, Ted's got my vote."

As you can tell, Ted has a lot of support out there. And if we can turn back out our supporters and win over some new ones, we can win this runoff election on August 11th.

John, the only limit to how many canvassers we can have out there each day is how much we are able to raise each week. Our weekly goal is $5,000 - and we need your help to hit it. Pitch in $75 today and help us cover a shift for one of our canvassers (5 hours x $15/hr = $75).

Whatever amount you choose to donate - it will make a big impact on hitting our door knock goals each week. And if we hit our goals, we will win.

If you can't do $75, no worries - any amount you can donate today will help us get back out to knock on doors tomorrow.

Thank you for making a difference in getting good people who can unite our community elected to local office, where so many of the systemic reforms we need in our society can happen now.

Together we can change everything. Thank you for being a part of a critical mass of individuals who know that change doesn't come easy, but it won't come if we don't fight for it.

Let's do this!

- Zane
