Governor DeWine Appoints Myers to Montgomery County Municipal Court
(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the appointment of Brandon S. Myers to the Montgomery County Municipal Court.
Myers, of Phillipsburg, will assume office on September 2, 2025, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Judge James Piergies, who has retired. He will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and will run for election in November 2025.
Myers began his law career in 2013 when he served as the law clerk for Student Legal Services, Inc. In 2014, he worked as a felony law clerk for the Franklin County Public Defender's Office. In 2015, he served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office and currently serves as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Miami County Prosecutor's Office.
In 2012, Myers received a bachelor’s degree in criminology and political science from The Ohio State University, and received his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2015.
