Today, I'm reaching out to share my story and my vision for Minnesota.
I believe that people should be able to afford the lives they want to live
wherever they want to live them. I think with the right leaders in
Washington we can make this vision a reality.
Growing up in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, my life was shaped by the
resilience and strength of my hard-working single mother. She worked
tirelessly to provide for us, often with the help of programs like Section
8 housing vouchers, free school meals, and Medicaid to make ends meet.

Me as a kid in our apartment in St. Louis Park
These programs didn’t just keep me alive and fed. They gave my mom the
opportunity to pursue her education, graduate from St. Kate's, and become
a phlebotomist — lifting us towards the middle class. Our family's journey
is a testament to the power of leadership with big vision and a belief
that government can improve peoples’ lives.
That’s why I believe in wrapping our arms around our neighbors in need.
It’s why I’ve dedicated my life to public service, fighting for policies
that lift up children and families, and it’s why I’m running for Senate.
I’ve spent my career fighting for folks from every corner of Minnesota. I
chaired the Raise the Wage campaign, raising the minimum wage and indexing
it to inflation. I championed paid family and medical leave. And I helped
make sure every kid can eat lunch at school, no matter what. These
accomplishments are just the beginning, and there's so much more we can
achieve together.

We fought hard to raise the wage — and we got it done.
Every day, I’m inspired by the stories and support of folks like
you. From
heartfelt conversations on the campaign trail to the smallest donation
from a neighbor who believes in our cause, these moments reaffirm my
commitment to fight for our future.
I’m in this race to win it because I know that together, we can elect
leaders who understand the struggles of regular people and have the guts
to stand up for them.
